The Current

From The Current Encyclopedia

The Current is a novel by Elias Wrenfield and the first book of The Current series. It is narrated by James Vance, a director at a biotech company who discovers that his moods change the rooms around him.

Premise

James Vance has a corner office, a title that impresses his father, and a life engineered to feel like nothing at all. Then he notices something impossible: when he is happy, the room lifts and fortune follows. When he is angry, things break, and not just his things. He is not the only one who can do it. The head of his division has been quietly feeding on that current for thirty years, and he has just realized what James is.
